ABOUT US

Our company

Iemmi Hunting is a company specialized in small game hunting and outdoor activities located in the Argentine territory. This South American country is world-famous by its vegetation and wildlife; and thanks to its great abundance of bird species (including ducks, partridges, and native doves), it receives a great number of enthusiastic sportsmen every year from all around the world. On average, hunters can usually shoot over 1000 shells a day. Besides, hunters are constantly supervised and assisted by our experienced hunting outfitters. The main objective of Iemmi Hunting is to provide hunters our professionalism and experience to deliver an unforgettable experience.

Our lodges

Iemmi hunting has 2 lodges: "El Fortin and "La Macarena", both of them are situated in Rio Primero Department, Cordoba, Argentina. Each of them has all the comforts: private bathrooms, central heating system and air conditioning and all the services for additional comfort. Facilities include a large living room and a cozy bar. Our main activity is dove and pigeon shooting. The attention is carried out by its owners in their fields.

La Macarena

La Macarena is located 120km from Cordoba's airport (COR), near the town of Santa Rosa de Rio Primero and 5 minutes away from El Fortin Lodge. The lodge was built specifically to accommodate hunters and includes all the comfort and amenities our clients expect. The interior features an appealing living room, dining room, and bar areas. The living room features comfortable seating, TV and cocktail areas that flow into the large dining room. The main lodge includes 3 triple-occupancy bedrooms and 1 double-occupancy bedroom, each with a private bathroom. Also, there are 2 spacious wooden cabins adjacent to the main lodge with 2 double-occupancy bedrooms with a private bathroom each. The exterior has lovely landscaping and an inviting swimming pool where you can spend a relaxing evening after a day in the field. La Macarena can accommodate up to 19 hunters.

El Fortin

El Fortin is located 5 minutes away from La Macarena Lodge. It was originally built as a general store for residents of this agricultural area inhabited by millions of doves. It has since been fully renovated to offer the modern touches that international sportsmen would enjoy on a trip to Argentina. The interior features a comfortable living room, dining room, a bar and 4 double-occupancy bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. There is plenty of room to relax and enjoy the evening after a full day in the field.

Duck and partridge hunting

The duck hunting is carried out along the delta of the Parana River, in the province of Corrientes. The place is visited by bird lovers from all around the world because the lagoons in the area concentrate an immense amount of birds. Some of the species found in the area are the crested duck, whistling duck, cinnamon teal, blue-wing teal, yellow-billed teal, yellow-billed pintail, white-cheeked pintail, ringed teal, red shoveler, black-headed duck, to name a few. It is usual to hunt between 5 and 8 different species during the hunt. The open season extends from April to August.

Here we propose some items for hunters novices.

1- Hunters need to have good camouflage.

2- Remember that ducks always attempt to land against the wind; this is the best moment to perform the shot.

3- Decoys are efficient tools to attract ducks. A whistling duck decoy is made with a pair of bottoms of cartridge. Plastics and percussion caps are retired and pasted one into the other. When someone whistles through the hole, a sound similar to the duck's is produced.

4- If the sown fields are flooded and with no enough vegetation where you can hide from ducks, you will need to improvise some kind of station with branches or a piece of camouflaged clothing.

5- Ducks fly at high speed (some species reach 40km/h or more) so the hunter needs to anticipate the shot taking into consideration the distance and height that the duck is hovering.

6- For the shooting, we prefer supplying shells #6 and/or #7, although some people are inclined to use a bigger size of shot. Also, keep in mind an assistant will be ready to help you in case you need some help or guidance.
